Our Work with My Sister’s House
At Crimmigration Inc., our commitment extends beyond the courtroom — it reaches into the heart of our community. We are proud to partner with My Sister’s House, a Sacramento-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Asian and Pacific Islander women and children affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
Through culturally responsive services, My Sister’s House provides a safe haven, advocacy, and education to help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and strength.
Our Partnership
Crimmigration Inc. has proudly supported My Sister’s House for over a decade through pro bono legal representation, volunteer service, and community outreach. Our attorneys and staff have served as legal counselors, advocates, and trainers, providing crucial assistance to survivors in both immigration and family law matters.
This partnership began with Attorney Sahreen Manzar, who joined My Sister’s House as a legal intern while attending McGeorge School of Law. She later completed the 40-hour Domestic Violence Counselor Training required under California Evidence Code §1037.1, equipping her with the skills to advocate effectively for victims navigating both legal and safety challenges.
Today, our entire team continues that legacy. Crimmigration Inc. attorneys have served as staff and volunteer counsel for My Sister’s House, providing free legal assistance to survivors who otherwise could not afford representation. We are also proud supporters of the organization’s annual fundraisers and continue to amplify its mission through our social media platforms and outreach efforts.
A Shared Mission
Together, we strive to create a safer, more just community by ensuring that every survivor has access to compassionate and culturally competent legal support. Our collaboration with My Sister’s House reflects Crimmigration Inc.’s unwavering dedication to corporate social responsibility and the belief that the law should serve humanity.
