Under the general direction of supervising attorney(s) and according to established Firm policies and procedures, is responsible for providing paralegal support and assistance to attorneys in the coordination and management of caseload majority of cases are in immigration law, and some family, criminal and civil law areas. The incumbent maintains professionalism and strict confidentiality in all client and Firm matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to, the
following: filing court documents, conducting intake
interviews of potential clients, filling out legal
forms, drafting correspondence and motions, billing
clients and other duties may be requested and/or
assigned. Regular and predictable attendance is an
essential function of the incumbent. Primary job
duties that an individual must be able to perform
successfully with or without a reasonable
accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made

the essential functions.
Education, training, experience:
Paralegal degree and/or a minimum of one year work experience in the legal practice preferably in immigration or law. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office programs is required (MS word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook). Legal research certificate from an ABA accredited paralegal program is a plus but not required.
Must be friendly and have strong knowledge of clerical tasks such as filing, documentation and billing. Current Notary commission is desired but not required.
